Across the Sea QAL
This week we finalized the sale of our house and have settled into our temporary place. Still looking for our next home. In between the move and work, I've been making progress on my Across the Sea's quilt.
Here is one layout. I moved things around again, after looking at this pic. I have now got the top together and am working on adding the borders. I'm a bit behind but hope to catch up this weekend.

Progress
So last week was interesting - an earthquake and a hurricane. Lucky for us we didn't sustain much damage from either. One good thing about Irene is that being stuck inside from all the rain allowed me to quilt.
This is a quilt I am working on for my college girlfriend living in Texas. She is due in November and having her 2nd boy.
She got the crib set from Pottery Barn and I used the colors as inspiration. Since the bedding is patchwork plaid, I thought the solids would be a good choice.
I'm using Michael Miller's Beep Beep Aqua for the back.
As I've mentioned I'm also doing a Quilt Along. Here are my crosses all cut out. I had to order more fabric for the background. I switched from Kona Medium Grey to Free Spirit Designer Solid in Pearl. I'm excited to start piecing the top together.
